JANUARY RECIPE OF THE MONTH
With January snows on the ground, we decided a feisty recipe for hot chocolate was in order.
You will need:
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 cups milk or unsweetened soy milk
2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar, to taste
Mix dry ingredient in a small bowl
In a medium sauce pan combine the milk or soy milk, with cocoa and sweetener. Stir constantly over medium heat until you have a smooth and velvety texture.
Serve warm in mugs. Enjoy
